TOUCH OF THE HEARTS

Touch of the Hearts is a student-led initiative that was established in 1992. Created from a common idea of a group of students wanting to do their part for the community. They came together with the aspiration to help those who were less fortunate in their community.

ORIENTATION MAIN COMMITTEE

The Orientation Main Committee (OMC) in hall 4 is one of the largest committees. As the name suggests, OMC is in charge of planning and executing the Freshman orientation programme that takes place every August to welcome the new freshmen into the hall. As a committee, OMC believes in making the programme an engaging one for freshmen so as to assimilate the new residents into the Ohmer family.

THE SUMMER SOIRÉE

The term “Soirée” refers to an evening party or gathering for conversation or music, which vividly summarises the general concept of our event. The Summer Soirée promotes cohesion and harmony among hall residents by giving them the opportunity to know others better, not just among members of your orientation group in a more relaxed setting. It provides a platform for people who couldn’t attend hall camp to bond with other residents. In short, we hope that  The Summer Soirée can help to kick start the new academic year on a high note.

PROJECT ALPHA

NTU Project Alpha has continually been blessed to be able to contribute to Laos P.D.R for the past few years, primarily working as a partner on the Mega-School Project as well as the Water Project. Our team seeks to be useful persons and forge bonds with our Laos counterparts on both the overseas project as well as the local project in Singapore. We also bring back what we have learnt over the 2-3 weeks overseas, conducting and sharing our time over multiple events for the marginalised in our society.
